Wayne Carl Bettcher, of Hamburg, NY, passed away August 12th, 2026, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of 68 years to Barbara J. (Cudney) Bettcher. Dearest father to Michael (Julie) Bettcher and Pamela (Tracy) Bettcher. Cherished grandfather to Patrick (Andrea) Bettcher. Devoted great grandfather to Rosalie Bettcher. Wayne was predeceased by his parents Carl and Vivian (Yaw) Bettcher, his brother E. Thomas (survived by Charlene) Bettcher and his sister-in-law Cathy Metzger. He is survived by his sister Diane (Gary) Brand, brothers-in-law James (Toni) Cudney and Michael (Tammy) Metzger, many loving nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors and their dogs. Wayne served in the US Army during the Korean War and was an avid Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
