Walter E. Kempa Sr. passed away on November 28, 2019 at the age of 93 and is now reunited with his beloved Agnes. He was married to Agnes for sixty nine years and is the father of Walter Jr. (Linda), Roger (Elizabeth), Barry (Deborah), and Lawrence (Linda) Kempa. Walter was born in Clarksburg NY and lived an idyllic country childhood where he attended a one room school, explored the near-by woods and streams, and worked in his family's general store. After moving to the "city", he graduated from Hamburg High School in 1944 and enlisted in the Army Air Force. Upon returning from WWII he met and fell in love with Agnes at a dance at St. Bonaventura.

Due to his hard work, engaging personality, and leadership roles in numerous business and charitable organizations he received multiple promotions culminating in becoming bank Treasurer. He also graduated from executive management programs at Brown University and the University of Massachusetts.

He enjoyed over 35 years of retirement walking, golfing, fishing, skiing, vacationing in Florida, and especially doting over his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
