Violet M. Pfetsch, age 89, of Orchard Park, died Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Fox Run of Orchard Park, NY. Mrs. Pfetsch was born February 24, 1928 in Buffalo, NY. She is the daughter of the late Carl Oscar and the late Amelia Helen (Schelble) Lofgren.
Loving mother of Amy (Doug) Doores; John (Joanne) Pfetsch; grandmother of Joshua (Jillian) Doores, Jessica, Timothy, Emily Doores, Michael, Stephen (Amy) Pfetsch; great grandmother of Vienna Doores; sister of the late Donald (late Betty) Lofgren, sister-in-law Judy (Alan) Blackburn, and many nieces and nephews.
Violet graduated from Kensington High School and received a scholarship to Albright Art School in Buffalo, NY. She worked as a school bus driver for the Sweet Home Central School District for over 20 years. She was a long time, active member of Zion United Church of Christ. Violet was kind, caring and a talented artist. She loved tending to her various flower and vegetable gardens and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Violet was frugal but lived a rich life. Flowers are gratefully declined.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Fox Run, 1 Fox Run Lane, Orchard Park, NY at a time to be announced.
