Richard F. Geitter

Geitter, Richard, 91, of Orchard Park, passed away on July 1, 2024. He was a United States Army veteran and a charter and lifetime member of the Hillcrest Volunteer Fire Company. He was retired from the Orchard Park Highway Department. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Jean, and his parents, Margaret and Elmer Geitter. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Russell, Robert, and Raymond, and his sisters, Elizabeth Narbe, Clarabel Milks, Loretta White, Jessie Lou Eberlin, and Eleanor Franklin. He is survived by his daughter, Lindalee (Nicholas) Mariotti; his son, Mark Geitter; and his granddaughters, Christiana Mariotti and Margaret (Christian) Suarez. Survivors also include his devoted siblings, Ronald (late Norma), Ross (Barbara), Ralph (Mary), and Marylouise (Richard) Shelley; his brother-in-law and lifelong friend, Loren Narbe; and his cousins, nieces, nephews, and their families. Richard also leaves behind his beloved friends, Diane and Adriane Ziarkowski and Brennan Miller. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 24, at F.E. Brown Sons Funeral Home, located at 6575 East Quaker Street, Orchard Park, NY 14127, with visitation beginning at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to your local volunteer fire company.
