Regina B. Reed

Reed, Regina Marie (née Bolla), PhD, of Orchard Park; died peacefully October 22nd at the age of 91 after being with family and while in the loving care of the nurses and staff on Opal Lane at Father Baker Manor in Orchard Park. Beloved wife of the late Russell A. Reed, EdD, and mother to Christopher A. (Leah Wong); Michele A. (Walter Deinzer) and Jeffrey M. Regina grew up along the Niagara River near Fort Erie, ON, and graduated from Stella Niagara in Lewiston, NY. She never missed an opportunity to be near water and family vacations were taken to Muskoka, ON; Cape May, NJ; Cape Hatteras, NC; and Eleuthera, Bahamas with regular weekend trips to Evangola State Park, NY. Regina met her future husband at the Newman Club of the University of Buffalo where she completed her undergraduate degree and her PhD before taking a position on the English faculty at the State University of New York at Fredonia. She was a long-time patron of the Stratford (ON) Shakespeare Festival and donations, if desired, can be made there. A memorial service at the convenience of the family will be held at a later date.
