Phoebe Vaughan James

Phoebe Vaughan James; Orchard Park, NY - Passed away November 29, 2023 at the age of 70. Predeceased by her parents Grover R. James, Jr. and Isabel V. (nee Vaughan) James. She is survived by brother Michael L. (Barbara) James, nephews Scott M. (Rebeccah) James and David H. (Sarah) James and grandnieces Hazel, Daisy, Sadie and Charlotte. Phoebe graduated from The Buffalo Seminary, then Northeastern University, where she earned a degree in physical therapy. She practiced her profession in Maine and Ohio before returning to Buffalo for a career helping others. Phoebe was a brave survivor of MS for many years. She fought the good fight and was described by one relative as her favorite cousinly firecracker and so much fun. She loved dogs, flamingos and the Buffalo Bills. Phoebe’s Fudge was a favorite. Her generous donations to numerous causes endeared her to many.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in West Falls, NY on Saturday January 13 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the SPCA Serving Erie County or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Upstate NY Chapter. Arrangements by the F.E.
