Paul "Charlie" Moyer, DDS, age 97,Beloved husband of the late Sara (nee Miller) Moyer; loving father of Susan Miltz and Kit (Bill) Welsby; grandfather of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
As was the case for thousands of men and women after Pearl Harbor, the "Greatest Generation" left the safety of their homes, going off to war…not knowing their future. They were dedicated to saving our country. Charlie enlisted in the Navy and fought valiantly on board the USS Stanley. He was a member of "the Little Beaver Squadron" Desron 23.
Charlie practiced Dentistry in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. He was a lifelong member of Delta Sigma Delta (Dental Fraternity). He and his wife Sara lived, for 50 years, in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. They moved to Canterbury Woods in 2007 to be closer to family.
Collectively we, his children, grandchildren and other family members, are blessed to have known Charlie, loved Charlie and been touched by the light that surrounded him and his great love for Sara. His legacy is the beautiful family that they created.
