Linda A. Voss

Linda passed peacefully on August 10, 2024, with her family and cats in her home. She is survived by her sister Sanda L. Voss, her niece Julia A. Davis Voss, her grand-niece Grace J. Kress, her stepson Joseph Goretti, and her sisters in law Mary Goretti and Debbie Moran. Linda was predeceased by her beloved husband the late Joseph C. Goretti, her parents the late Donald L. Voss late Jane (Davis) Voss her sister the late Pamela L. (Stabell) Voss and her aunt the late Lisette Voss. Linda lived her live as she did in the process of dying, vivacious, loving, and fiercely independent.

For decades her days were filled with very active work in the catering and restaurant business and later managing Meals on Wheels in Orchard Park. This was work she loved the most, visiting people's homes, and sharing in their lives. She was the happiest when in service to human need and heart. She served with compassion, humor and generosity.

After retirement her days were filled with many friends who she loved going on lunch dates with, reading in the sun, swimming in the pool, having fires with her stepson, feeding all manner of wildlife in her back yard, especially the chipmunks, and drumming at the senior center.

She wanted to be remembered in the words," With beauty may I walk, With beauty before me may I walk, With beauty behind me may I walk, With beauty below me may I walk, With beauty above me may I walk, With beauty all around me may I walk. In beauty it is finished, in beauty it is finished." Navajo Night way Chant.
