Julie Kathleen, born April 10th, 1961, in her lifetime resided in Bexley, OH, Somersworth, NH, Depew, NY, lake George, NY, Duncanville, TX, Western, NY, and the last ten years in Orchard Park, NY.
Julie was a founding member of Lord of Life, Lutheran Church in Depew and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, West Seneca in recent years. Her favorite Bible verses were Micah 6:8 and John 10:10.
Her principal jobs were as a chef and assistant manager of two bookstores. She was a certified animal rescue tech. An avid reader, her “children” were her books. Her favorite cats were Emma and pretty Kitty (PK). For 10 years, she was a team member of the Joy of Trains, a traveling model railroad presentation that entertain children and adults at libraries, assisted living facilities, and train shows.
She was happiest when surrounded by the beauty of nature, especially that of trees, like her father. She was eclectic in her musical tastes, was especially attracted to English literature of the romantic period in art of the French impressionist movement.
Home was where she was anchored. Although she moved about a lot, she clung to her roots and remained connected throughout. Her values of justice, kindness, and closeness to ones God remained constant throughout her life. As her father says: “She traveled far, but not far from home”
