Joan Argy

March 8, 1939 — October 6, 2025

Joan Kathleen (Gibson) Argy
Born: March 8, 1939
Passed: October 6, 2025

Joan has resided in Orchard Park, New York since 2016. She is survived by daughter Keliann M. Argy, also of Orchard Park, and was the loving grandmother to Gage, Ronan, Tulley, and Keeghan. Joan was the special companion to T. Lee Huston of Venice, Florida, and former wife of Joseph R. Argy of Lewiston, NY, both of whom predeceased Joan.

Joan was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. She was the daughter of the late Jesse (unknown) Gibson and Joseph Gibson. She was predeceased by her siblings: Joyce Witt, James Gibson, Gordon Gibson, and Elaine Wallace. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Joan was a housewife and a business owner, first with her own cleaning service and second with Lee Huston selling proprietary products to the transit industry. Joan was very active in her free time. She was an avid golfer, bowler, and played racquetball regularly. Joan loved hockey and ice skating, and she loved spending time playing with her grandchildren or watching them playing in their own sports activities. Joan was adventurous and loved to travel. Joan spent time traveling back and forth to Florida where she resided for 40 years. She cherished every trip, especially the last few years rooming with her friend, Sandy, spending time gardening together and joking about "closet eating". Her presence will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.

Joan will be buried at Woodlawn Cemetery on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 1:30PM. The family will be planning a mass and memorial service next month. Please check back for the updated information.
