On Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020. Cherished son of Joseph and Alice Riffel; beloved husband of Nancy; devoted father of Douglas, Kathleen (Gerry) Goodrich, Christine (Edward) Hoch, Paul (Lisa) and Karen (Tony) Edmonds; adored Papa of 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Jim became an Eagle Scout in 1948. He was drafted into the US Army. He also spent six years as an apprentice at The Buffalo News.
The immediate family extended their final farewells with a visitation at F.E. Brown Sons Funeral Home and a Mass of Christian Burial at Nativity of Our Lord Church in Orchard Park on Thursday, April 16, 2020. A larger celebration of Jim's life is planned for the fall.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to support the Right to Life.
