Irene W. Blackwell

Irene W. Blackwell, age 87, of Leesburg, VA, died Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Meadow Glen Assisted Living of Leesburg, VA. Mrs. Blackwell was born July 29, 1927 in Rochester, NY. She is the daughter of the late Ambrose V. and the late Adelaide (Noll) Wehner. She married Gurth Blackwell. She was predeceased by her husband, Gurth Blackwell in1992.




Mrs. Blackwell leaves to cherish her memory her two sons Bruce E. Blackwell and daughter-in-law Dianne of Leesburg, VA, and David A. Blackwell and daughter-in-law Diana of Hamburg, NY.




A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00am on Friday, October 3, 2014 at St. Joseph's Cathedral, 50 Franklin Street, Buffalo, NY. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Orchard Park, NY.
