Ann’s love extended to her five children, James Donald Furman III, Henry Patrick Anthony, Joanne Aimee (Paul) Hanna, Mary Michelle (Alan) Veeck, and Manus Alexander (Tracey) Furman, who remember her incredible grace and elegance together with her magnificent sense of humor. She was a faith filled Roman Catholic who had a great devotion to our Blessed Mother Mary and to her children. Always ready with a comforting word, sound advice or an engaging, memorable story. She is survived by her eleven grandchildren, Adam, Alexander, Jack, William, Emily, Charlie, Henry, Joseph, Caroline, Manus and Catherine. Educated by the nuns of the Sacred Heart first at the Kenwood School in Albany, NY and then, at Manhattanville College, she worked in Public Relations at NY Life Insurance in New York City where she met her husband, James Donald Furman, Jr. In 1961, they married, marking the beginning of a shared life filled with love and laughter. While raising her family, she partnered with her husband to build a full-service residential interior design business in Buffalo, NY called Conley Interiors, believing in the importance of home. For over 60 years, they delighted in creating comfortable, stylish, beautifully appointed residences across the country and in Canada. An avid reader and lifelong Anglophile, she was an authority on the Mitford Family, an aristocratic English family, twice elevated to the British peerage. Ann’s library of books is extensive and impressive. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 30 at 11:00 AM at Nativity of Our Lord Church, 26 Thorn Avenue, Orchard Park, NY.
