Elizabeth L. "Betsy" Whistler, age 35, of Manhattan, NY formerly of Orchard Park, died Monday, November 14, 2016 at her family's home in Orchard Park. Ms. Whistler was born July 22, 1981 in Buffalo, NY. She is the daughter of Sanford A. and Dolores (Hogenkamp) Whistler.
Betsy is survived by her father Sanford A. and mother Dolores (Hogenkamp) Whistler; her dearly loved Coco Mindreau; her sisters Kimberly J. (Luke Leveillee) Whistler, Martha B. (Taylor) Baum and Hannah C. (Michael Radigan) Whistler; her niece Charlotte Baum; as well as her large extended family.
Betsy was a graduate of Orchard Park High School and Loyola University. She lived in New York City where she managed several restaurants and sold real estate. An outdoor enthusiast, Betsy loved running in Central Park, traveling in the Caribbean and summering in Bay Beach, Canada.
The family will receive friends Saturday and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 at the F. E. Brown Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 6575 East Quaker St. Orchard Park New York 14127.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Church 450 Abbott Rd. Buffalo NY 14220, Monday November 21, 2016 at 9:30am. Please assemble at church.
Memorials may be made to Central Park Conservancy, 14 E. 60th St. New York, NY 10022.
