Hebeler
August 22, 1933 – March 22, 2026
E. Donald Hebeler
March 22,2026, of Orchard Park, NY and Oak Grove Island, GA. Beloved husband of the late Mary Ann Hebeler (nee Haley); devoted father of Donna Parker, Deborah Spinazze, and Diane Hoffmanner (Alan), cherished grandfather of Nicholas (Ashley), Max (Margaret), Alex (Tori), Austin (Alexa), Victoria (Eric fiancé), and great-grandfather to Camilla, Luca and soon, Ada.
He will be especially missed by Dory, his Golden Retriever.
Born August 1933, he was the son of Edward Sebastian Hebeler and Florence M. Hebeler, nee Schulenberg, and was a member of a Western New York family whose roots in the Buffalo area reached back to the turn of the century. His father, Edward S. Hebeler, held patents in welding as a Williamsville-based inventor. As the youngest of six, he was an Uncle to many. Don attended both Bishop Neumann High School, and Canisius College, where he was known for his athletic achievements in baseball and basketball. He was an avid golfer for over 60 years. He was also a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War.
Mr. Hebeler was a longtime leader in Western New York manufacturing and served as CEO of Hebeler Corporation from 1958 until 2001. Founded from the family's Buffalo-area welding tradition and patents, the company became one of the region's respected industrial firms expanding to divisions in Canada and Jackson, Mississippi. Under his leadership, Hebeler was known for quality fabrication and engineering skill, which resulted in steady growth through decades of economic change in Western New York. He will be remembered as a quiet builder of both business and family, a man of discipline, loyalty, and love. No prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, April 10th at 11 AM in Nativity of Our Lord Church, 26 Thorn Avenue, Orchard Park, NY. Flowers gratefully declined. If so desired, donations in Edward's memory may be made to The SPCA serving Erie County; 300 Harlem Road, West Seneca, NY 14224 or donate online at yourspca.org/tributegifts
