KNAISCH - Dorothy A. (nee Brittin) Of Orchard Park, NY, April 10, 2021. Beloved wife for 69 years of former Village Mayor George F. Knaisch, mother of David (Karen) and the late Robert (Ann Marie) Knaisch; grandmother of Michael (Kimberly) Daniel (Amanda), Jonathan and Katherine Knaisch; also survived by five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; sister of the late Gertrude Collins, Marian, Alan and Arthur Brittin.
Born September 17, 1932, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Alan and Mary Brittin of Pendelton, NY. She was a graduate of Lockport High School 1950 and the Doyle Beauty Culture School. She worked at Bens Beauty Salon in Lockport until her marriage in 1952. An Orchard Park resident since 1953, she loved the small home town atmosphere, and its residents. Active over the years at St. John's Lutheran Church and various community organizations. Dorothy enjoyed her family, camping, music, the organ group, crafts and country decorating.
The family will receive friends Friday from 4 PM – 7 PM at the F. E. BROWN SONS FUNERAL HOME, 6575 East Quaker St., Orchard Park NY. Services Saturday at 11 AM in St. John's Lutheran Evangelical Church, 4536 S. Buffalo St., Orchard Park, NY. Friends invited.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Evangelical Church.
