Donald W. Pfister, age 76, of Orchard Park, died Friday, June 19, 2020 at Elderwood at Amherst of Amherst, NY. Mr. Pfister was born July 4, 1943 in Buffalo, NY. He is the son of the late Franklin and the late Clara (Hergard) Pfister. He married Susan M. Christopher.
Beloved husband of Susan M. Pfister and the late Paula H. Pfister; father of Lauri (Richard) Owsian and step-father of Christina (Aaron) Evans. Cherished Grandpa of Ricky Owsian, Zachary and Delaney Evans.
Don was a graduate of Erie Community College. He retired from TMP Technologies in 2008 where he held the position of Vice President of Manufacturing. He was active at St. James United Church of Christ in Hamburg, NY, serving on the Council, as Chair of Legacy Committee for many years, and as Chair of the Directors of TLC Child Care. He volunteered hours of his time care for the church building, putting his handyman skills to good use. He also volunteered on many projects with Sue, always a willing helper. They traveled all over the world together, visiting five continents. He loved the outdoors, staying at this cabin, puttering with his motorhome, boating and spending time with his friends.
