Dale J. Eckl, Sr.; of Orchard Park, NY, after a long illness, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on April 23, 2026. Beloved husband of 65 years to Shirley Ann (Rosenthal) Eckl. Dearest father of Denise (Neal) Heinen and Dale J. (Kristyn) Eckl, Jr. Devoted grandfather of Nicole and Cassidy. Son of the late John and Martha (Schrader) Eckl. Brother of the late Doris (William) Hoffower, John (Natalie) Eckl, Joan (Augustus) Rhoads, and Thomas Eckl. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dale served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany and Lebanon. He as a longtime member of the Orchard Park Country Club, member of Nativity of Our Lord Church and St. Jude Parish, a 4th Degree and lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, the owner of Eckl's Restaurant for over 50 years, where they served local celebrities and appreciated all their customers, and a Buffalo Bills season ticket holder for many years, and an inductee of the Orchard Park High School Athletic Hall of Fame. The family will be present Monday, April 27, 2026, from 3 to 7 PM at the F E Brown Sons Funeral Home, 6575 East Quaker Street, Orchard Park, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, April 28th at 11 AM in Nativity of Our Lord Church, 26 Thorn Avenue, Orchard Park, NY.
