Charlotte Wells Downing,

Beloved wife of 58 years to Thomas J. Downing, passed away on October 16th, 2025, at the age of 84, surrounded by her family. Charlotte was predeceased by her son, Patrick James; her parents, Bertram Wells and Sara Mullikin Wells; Brothers; Charles, John William, David, Steven, Larry and Nathan Wells and Sisters; Barbara Mowery and Nelda Derrick. She is survived by her children, Thomas F. Downing, Julie (Peter) Murphy, Sean (Emily) Downing, Amy (Douglas) Bamrick, and Bridget (Jason) Scime. Charlotte is also survived by her siblings, Norma Compton, Martha Reynolds, Bert Wells, Sharon Morgan and Christy Lucas, and many nieces and nephews. Charlotte's pride and joy were her 12 grandchildren: Tess and Mia Downing; Brian, Meghan, Shannon, and Michael Murphy; Kevin and Luke Bamrick; and Charlotte, June, Elizabeth and Norah Scime.
