Walter, Carol A. (Holmes), was Promoted to Glory on July 9th, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Rev. Lawrence E. Walter, Jr. Devoted mother of Daniel Walter and wife, Judy, of Machias, NY; David Walter and wife, Debra, of Cortland, Ohio; and Susan Walter, of Orchard Park, NY. Cherished grandmother of Ben, Mark, Abby, Sarah, Timothy, Hannah, Alyssa, Sam, and Zachery; great grandmother of Bryce, Lex, and Lainey Lareau; Lorelai, Carolina, and Reuben Budik; and Alexis Moon. Carol is survived by her son-in-law Michael, of Saugerties, NY; her nephews Scott and Sidney, and nieces Beth, Lori, and Shari. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, William and Abby (Palmer) Holmes, her brother Gerald Holmes, her daughter Barbara and her granddaughter Brittany. Services will be held privately.
