Beverly Rich

Beverly Rich, age 92, of Broomfield, Colorado, formerly of Buffalo, New York, died Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Collier Hospice Center of Wheat Ridge, CO. Mrs. Rich was born November 6, 1923 in Duluth, MN

The former Beverly J. Schnuckle was born in Duluth, MN where she graduated from Denfeld High School. She then worked as an Operator with the Telephone Company for four years, followed by working in the payroll departments at the Duluth Transit Co. and Bridgeman Creameries. In 1948, she married Donald J. LaMont where they lived several years at Pike Lake outside of Duluth. When she married James A. Rich in 1965, they moved to Sheboygan, WI. In 1969, they moved to Orchard Park, New York. After Jim's death in 2001, Beverly moved to Broomfield Colorado, where she lived with her sister Lois M. LaMont. They spent their winters in Sun City, Arizona with their good friend Geri Erickson.

Mrs. Rich was a member of the Lutheran Church and Trinity Chapter #242 Order of the Eastern Star, Duluth, MN. Her hobbies included craft work, gardening, and traveling. A trip to a Casino was never turned down, including the Friday before she passed away! She was able to fly to Cuba in the 50's and took several cruises to Hawaii, Mexico, the Caribbean and, on her 90th birthday, to the Panama Canal.

Survivors include two Sisters-in-Law, four nieces and two nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Rollin P. Schnuckle, mother Mable, husband, James A. Rich, brothers, William R. Schnuckle and Rodney W. Schnuckle and, sister Lois M. Lamont.

Interment will take place on Monday, November 7, 2016 11:00am at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 1411 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, NY Birchfield Mausoleum.
